The conceptualization and the eventual establishment of the Traffic and Security Department, C.A.C, Oke Igbala, Ketu District Coordinating Council (DCC) Headquarters Lagos was by the initiative and guidance of Pastor J. A. Adelakun (aka Baba Ayewa).<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

This led to the establishment of\u00a0 the department in 1998.<\/p>

The essence is to ensure effective monitoring of the security of the properties of the congregants during service and ensure orderliness of those who outside the auditorium during various church programs.\u00a0<\/p>

Secondly, the new department was giving the responsibility to support traffic\u00a0 control on Tuesdays after our One-Hour with God program as we always experience and unusual heavy traffic immediately after this program as the commencement of the \u2018One Hour With God\u2019 weekly prayer meeting a year earlier attracts a large turnout of worshippers every Tuesday.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The prayer meeting takes place every Tuesday. The massive presence of the attendees resulted in the fill-up of the auditorium and the overflow facilities around the auditorium.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The department has to grown (physically and spiritually), has been performing wonderfully well since the inauguration. With the increasing relevance of the department, its roles and responsibilities have been extended to Sunday services and other major programmes such as revivals, 7-day annual vigil, 24-hour annual programme, and other sundry Church programmes.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

To further enhance the performance of the department, the Board of Elders contracted the services of external security for the Church which has helped to provide 24hr security service for the church especially during hours when no service is going on in the church.<\/p>

The first officially appointed Coordinator by the Board of Elders of the Church was Elder J. O. Odunola who was later succeeded by Elder Bosun Ajayi . At the expiration of Elder Ajayi\u2019s tenure, Elder Segun Olatunji was appointed by the Board of Elders to lead the department.<\/p>

One of the bold initiatives embarked upon by the current leadership was the inclusion of female security personnel from the members of the Church into the team. The traffic and security department presently boast of 43 very active and agile male and female members.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The advent of the Federal Special Marshal in the Church<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Special Marshal, a volunteer unit under the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), was introduced into the Church by the department in 2003.<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The introduction of the Special Marshal unit of the FRSC became imperative because of the recalcitrant and unruly conduct of the motorists and commercial bike riders (aka Okada riders). This bad behaviour was more rampant, particularly after the popular Tuesday \u00a0 \u201cOne Hour With God\u201d program. In recognition of the strategic importance of having the FRSC\u2019s presence in our traffic corridor, the Special Marshal Unit 27, C\u00b7A\u00b7C. Oke-lgbala Ketu DCC Headquarters was established.<\/p>

The Special Marshal Unit of the Church has membership drawn from diverse bases from Churches within and outside C.A.C Ketu DCC spearheaded by the then DCC Sperintendent, Pastor M.O. Yusuff, (the first C.A.C. Ketu DCCS, and the maiden C.A.C. Akinyele Regional Superintendent) with prominent Pastors such as Pastor Afolabi (C.A.C. Seminary Coordinator), also as part of foundation team.<\/p>

The unit remains one of the best and most revered units in Lagos State Command of the FRSC today. The activity of the Unit is presently being ably managed by its Unit Coordinator, SM Olufemi Fatoki.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
