Mount Multimedia
Brief Overview
The Media Department, also known as Mount Multimedia, was born out of the burning desire to propagate the gospel using electronic media and also for record-keeping purposes.
It all started when Late Elder Samuel Oyelayo Adedeji (aka Baba Oyo) introduced Mr. Olaniyi Gabriel Babajide of Jide Ola Filmworks (fondly called Mr. Jide Ola) to Pastor M. O. Yusuff and Pastor J. O. Osunkoya for the recording of One Hour With God Programme.
The recording of the One Hour With God programme therefore started in 2005 by Mr. Olaniyi Gabriel Babajide. He started the project as his contribution to God’s work. To be able to cope with the enormous pressure of the tasks, he later had to train Bro Wale Bankole as his assistant.
As the vision expanded, more hands were required for effectiveness, hence the call by Pastor M. O. Yusuff for Church members to volunteer to join the Media Department. Subsequently, the department was inaugurated on 8th July, 2007 and Pastor M. O. Yusuff prayed for the founding members.
On Saturday, 14th July 2007, the formal training class with practical and theory modules on cinematography and videography commenced for crew members. This was organised by the Church authority in collaboration with Mr. Jide Ola.

Following the wise counsel of Mr. Jide Ola that the training would be needless without the acquisition of the requisite equipment to undertake the tasks of recording the One Hour With God prayer meeting, the Church went ahead to procure the first set of media equipment. Among the necessary equipment and work tools procured were two Panasonic MD 10000 cameras, and one Edirol mixer etc.
After the training, Brother Femi Oyeleke (fondly called ‘Captain’) was selected as the leader of the group while Bro. Anthony Abolarinwa was selected as the Assistant.
Elder Segun Olatunji was appointed as the founding Coordinator, and he worked with the the founding members. Also, a governing committee was put in place to oversee the activities of the Media Department. Its members were:
- Elder Segun Olatunji – Media Coordinator.
- Elder Omotosho
- Elder Aleshinloye
- Deaconess Sade Ewumi
Over time, new members were recruited into the department. In 2014, the leadership of the department was reviewed for better performance and Bro Michael Faniran (now Elder Michael Faniran) was selected as the Departmental Head while Bro. Anthony Abolarinwa remained as the Assistant.
The Media Department has since evolved over the years. In 2019, during the Church Anniversary, the department commenced live streaming of Church programmes and activities. This initiative came handy for the broadcast of Sunday Services during the global lockdown occasioned by the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then, the Department conducts live telecasts of both Sunday and weekly programmes of the Church via YouTube, Facebook and Mixlr. As a result, the viewership of Church programmes has grown considerably through the live broadcasts. The department also manages the Facebook account of the Church.
