Here's a summary of the history of the Youth Church at Christ Apostolic Church (Oke Igbala)

1990s Era:

  • Youth fellowship was initially envisioned around 1990 by L. Evang F.F Agun, Bro Tokunboh Gbademu, and Bro Sola Adebayo
  • Official commencement: 1992-1993
  • First National Youth Conference: 1994
  • Sister Folake (later L. Evangelist) was the first Youth Fellowship leader

Early Programs:

  • Tuesday Youth Fellowship
  • Singles Night (1st Sunday)
  • Bachelors and Spinsters Night (1st Wednesday)
  • Campus outreach programs
  • Welfare activities

Youth Church Formation (2005-2006):

  • Established to retain youth membership
  • Initial committee included Deaconess Tokunboh, Bro Sola Adebayo, Bro Soji Ogunbusuyi, and Late Pastor Awopetu

Leadership Eras:

1. Pastor Awopetu Era (2005-2013/14)

  • Established various departments including Prayer, Drama, Evangelism
  • Introduced Jesus Partner empowerment program

2. Pastor Olagunju Era (2016-2021)

  • Implemented new executive structure
  • Organized various programs including Red Tie ValentineEvent
  • Conducted regular outreach programs
  • Annual youth conferences at Ikeji Arakeji

3. Pastor Oni Era (2021-Present)

  • Introduced new programs like 5-Sundays Saving Grace
  • 7 Super Sundays of Total Recovery
  • Restructured leadership in March 2022
  • Implemented various infrastructure improvements
